Staying up

studies say the best hours to sleep are between 11 and 3
studies say bad sleeping habits can be detrimental in the long term

i stay up anyway,
though i don’t have any work
or anything at all
because the hours
between night and morning are
the times i feel most okay
those are the hours i
genuinely feel at ease,
because the world has stopped… and
i almost believe im okay

studies say so many things
but what’s my physical health good for if my mental health is nothing?

“have you ever looked
at a healing wound
and thought,
this will scar.
?
that’s how i feel
when i look at you.”

— the worst part of happy is the end, Drea O.

do you ache to hear those words again
like the fruit you know you should not consume of
and when you do
it can feel like a surgery you haven’t been anaesthetised for
do you ache to hear those words again?

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

The hardest part is forgetting those you swore you would never forget

Last Tuesday (07/04) @ Being As An Ocean live in SG for their Asian Tour 2015.

When Bruce approached me to make another poster, I didn't think the final outcome would be so... pretty. HAHA prior to this, I'd only seen BAAO around but not heard of their stuff. Anyway these guys are the nicest and most down to earth band people I've met so far! Also they are fucking sick, fucking tight live so okay yes +1 fan hahahahaha

Exhibitors and A Town In Fear opened for BAAO and the crowd was insane the whole night. Okay, insane and then beyond insane. CRAZY STUFF. I couldn't even get to the front of the stage...... Photos are in progression of how intense the night went. It got so intense the crowd broke Michael's pedal and there was like 10 minutes of panic. Tyler spent most of his time protecting his pedals too, because the plug wasn't exactly tight. I just hope they'll come back again haha because they are so good. The venue was small but it was intimate and filled to the brim so it's good.

AND LOL people were buying the poster I made and getting the band's signatures on em. HEHEHE (of course I got it too duh)

Thankful for Wicked Productions for bringing BAAO in and making this work out. Looking forward to the next band they bring in hehe.
