In the early morning run, with my bagpack on my back, and an aching in my heart, and my shirt is full of sweat.

FOP'11 logo designed by the awesome Jon Tan!

FOP'11 was wicked. 'Nuff said. At least it seemed way more fun than mine's. It's not because I know what's going on, but everything just seemed more enthusiastic this year. Last year's fun wasn't as persuasive and engaging, and it's not just 'cause I totally shut myself off. xD

Anyway, this year I volunteered and was asked to be the photographer! It was awesome, fun, what I'm most comfortable in. ^___^ Wo xi huan! I felt both happiness and sadness at the same time throughout the entire programme. It wasn't simultaneously but together. Nearly broke down (not just about this) in the middle of the week but with my good friends, everything went well!

Us organisers had to be in school an hour before everything started. Still, there were people already crowding the area. Everything was so surreal - I didn't think I would make it to this day. It didn't even feel like I was a year older already. Everything just felt... different and I nearly fell away from reality.

We gathered at the Polycentre and had a briefing before the day kicked off. :D

Whose hotcakes?

Oh it's Keola's. (Look at what's in the background xD)

Their tags were nicer than mine, I'm sorry FOC OCs :(

The awesome FOP sticker that blended in well with my shirt! Looks printed on :p
And this nonsense comment that made me smile xD

Just a while more before FOP'11 kicks off! Excited much!

It was also Rahman's birthday so we all celebrated it just before everything started. :D

The head of this entire thing was Mr. ODH! He was in charge of logistics for FOC, and he's pretty sad that he still has to be 'invisible' through even FOP! Don't worry Mr. ODH, we still know you and love you all the same!

Zilian while at work~

It's like a flash mob though it's only a little over 200 freshies.

Hello Kevin! :D He's really small like me! So cutesy!

We warmed up to each other, played some icebreaker games before everyone split up into their CF classes to do a tour around school + lunch. There was a little debrief before the OCs and helpers left to tag along, and I followed Cuixia's group.

Her group decided to have lunch first, but I didn't eat 'cause it was like 1130! Too early to have lunch. So I grabbed something small with Gabriel and talked to some of the freshies. Hehe.

I'm pretty sure they were still lost but oh well! They'll find their way around and manage as they start their year! I can't believe I could actually navigate my way around SP before the end of first week. B) I'm cool.

After that, there was a talk that covered about nearly everything in MLT1 and the day ended. Good day.

The second day was fun too. I skipped the games day last year and I didn't wanna go this year... But I had to :( And I went. It was good ('cause I didn't have to play the games xD).

Dude, someone said you look like an owl...

Again, we all headed to school an hour before everything started. I reached about 15 minutes late :( Sorry I fail.

Dahao was also looking for a new profile picture so I'd been snapping pictures of him with my 50mm lens since the start of FOP and I got this pretty amazing picture of him - no edits, no nothing! Plain and raw - it's fantastic.

So hipster. Looks like some advertisement for a korean drama...

Cuixia disappeared halfway to fetch a freshie and Ashri and I spammed her camera xD

I've never made this many faces to a camera before. At least I look cute here :p

The day started off with mascot designing for each class!

Scandalous ♥

Being a photographer, the camera looks just like it's permanently glued to my face.

My 50mm f/1.8D! Love my baby ♥ I'm a proud Nikon user!

Then I poked my nose into some of the group discussions :p

The designs were collected... so let the games begin!

It was a really hot day. But the clouds were majestic. No edits done here, everything's raw and plain.

The games were fun but not full blown like the ones in camp! But it called for enough bonding within each class and I think it looked fun. xD Later we all broke up for lunch - the helpers and OCs had to run off first. :)

Hello you two, when you guys get married I'm sitting at the VIP table alright? :D This sounds cliche but you two better last forever! :) The only answer I'm accepting is a 'Yes' from the both of you ^___^

Oh yes, Yusman went to Japan recently and he bought green tea flavoured KitKat :D Hao chi! (Then Charice went to throw one box in my Tinkerbell clutch.)

Day two ended with the classes making their mascots from the materials we provided, a little 'critique' session of their mascots and presenting them their FOP shirts! Awesome nonsense, we didn't even get this last year :(

There was the material fair and SPICE training on day three. Man, the freshies this year are so blessed! Ugh, they should be more appreciative... Jelly much.

We also had canvas printing this year - the idea was pretty cool. :)

Class 62, Celadon!

Class 58, Byzantium!

Class 61, Viridian!

Class 59, Phthalo!

Later, Viridian and Celadon retired out at the SDC foyer to be entertained since they had some free time. Then we all had lunch but again I wasn't hungry so I grabbed some snacks. :p

Bumped into Kevin along the way back to the canvas activity!

Class 52, Saffron!

The canvas was starting to look pretty awesome as more groups came to leave their handprints :)

Hello Kevin!

Class 56, Monza! Their jump is the nicest! It's so HSM.

Class 51, Mikado! Yes I was trying to get everyone to do a jump shot :(

Class 54, Tangelo! Their jump shot wasn't very successful and I feel bad.

It was pouring towards the end of day three but I think we all still had fun. We had our debrief in MLT1, watched Ashri, Keola and Joash air band for a while before heading home. :p And a few of us had dinner together at Clementi :D

Flag Day occupied the fourth day! I was too damn tired so I only woke at 9, before rushing down to find most of them at TPY! I joined Gabriel and a few others 'cause I was part of the little surprise for Cuixia :)

Cuixia was sad that the OCs, GLs and helpers had grey coloured FOP shirts so 62 decided to make her one. LOL. So cutesy!

So while the others reached school back at 1 and had sufficient time for lunch, the few of us only had like 15 minutes left to eat :( But with me around, I'm like the 3rd GL for 62, so we had a bit more time to eat ^___^

Flash mob again! Aha.

These 4 are like the inner committee for 62. Heh.

This boy ah.

He has a nice bag.

Cuixia wanted to take polaroids and group shots later, and the inner committee was a little lost at how to present the cards! They did it in a polaroid - posing with it, then later surprising their GLs nicely as the picture developed on the polaroid.

Happy only!

We had our own little debrief, before the party, outside FC5.

Maisiao! Hehe. You're gonna miss us calling you by this name :')

Yusman! So cutesy!

Then we went for the party :) It wasn't exactly happening but the songs played were something most of us were familiar with.

smallhappyboy93

The bokeh was quite weird. Is it just me?

Hello you two again!

The uncle make like one happy only. Hahaha

See how happy the uncle was, make until so big.

Supermassive sombrero~

One artistic shot for the lulz.

The music was super loud and this time, they did play Party Rock Anthem. That's the way. :)

To sum it all up, I had a really good time at FOP'11 and maybe, just maybe, I'll be back again next year. I hope my timetable doesn't clash with the timing next year! I will miss all of you but I'll visit you guys as much as I can before school starts :) I hope all you freshies enjoyed FOP and stop complaining so much! We were bleeding sweat and sweating blood and all we wanted to do was to make sure you guys enjoy FOP and the welcome into SP! Whack you uh!
