Today was an okay day. I finished up my ISP! Unintentionally overslept morning class so I headed to Peace Centre to get my book binded before going for class. All we had to do was to give a simple practice presentation and... sadly I was being too distracting 'cause I kept smiling a lot. But hey, in my defense I'm gonna say I was acknowledging their facts! :( So one of my classmates, Zac, drew that after his presentation and showed it to me. Hahaha.

Interesting food I had this week!


1. For the first time ever, I had curry chicken noodles. Wow it was really good and the noodles tasted so good on its own... The curry was very rich and concentrated but because it was so full of curry I couldn't eat it much with chilli... :(
2. & 3. Salmon maru and ramyeon with beef slices, enoki mushroom and complementary seaweed on the side. I went over to Cheryl's to have dinner on Thursday after seeing her tweet about having to cook dinner on her own so we cooked together. Hahaha and she shared her sushi with me ^o^ but it was so big I almost couldn't chew it after dumping the entire ball in my mouth. Hahaha it was awesome.

I feel so deprived these 3 weeks, spending almost all my cash on my project... :( But this is what I've managed to make, a satisfactory materialised form of my creation. Woohoo~

The theme given was 'Voice', and the brief was very open. To me, voice is a severely abused medium. There are so many ways to communicate an idea, through sign languages, visuals, literature... but voice is the easiest method. Ancient philosophers use to believe that the soul escapes through the breath, so they were careful with talking, sneezing, anything related to the breath. But now with the improvement in technology, science has proven that that is not true. While voice isn't just an action word, voice, as a sound, is the first thing that comes to mind, so I chose to relate with something simple for the general public to understand. People talk too much and listen too little these days, that's why I see voice as a severely abused medium.

Also, the improvement of technology has brought about a lax and gullible culture - they're quite alive on the outside and in the brain but not in the mind. The inquisitivity has been desensitised, the thirst for knowledge has been thrown out of the window. Everyone just accepts things as they are, without trying to find or prove its evidential existentiality at all. We now live in a world where simple things are now insignificant.

Using photography, illustration and literature, a book emerged from it.
