We met Joe Hill!
Thank you Yusman, for sharing the word that Joe Hill's in Singapore AND he's giving talks! For those of you who don't know what's so great about him, he's a 3D street artist who paints amazing 3 dimensional art on the streets! I'm sure all of you have seen such images, they went viral a few times... crazy but interactive art.

It was really awesome and the 5 of us had fun, playing attention to his talk while playing the Game of Life at the same time. Heh. He shared with us his technique and really, everyone can do it! You just need the patience (to visualise and finish the art before the day ends) and the guts (most of such art requires permission). Other than that it's just practice (training your eye)...


He taught us how to draw a 3D apple and he drew that lion in like 2 minutes. And looking from this angle, you're "blissfully unaware" that you're looking at some "really strange distorted art". Those are his exact words and I found it so amusing.

His recent piece of work in Singapore is this (not taken by me, I grabbed it from I Love Museums), and I'm so bummed I didn't walk into Bugis Junction though I pass it by EVERYDAY. I shall catch him tomorrow live after class! (On the left, at Bugis Junction. On the right, at Malay Street.)


In other news, my package from Too Absorb reached today and I am totally in love with my new accessories! There was some promotion going on, with some mystery gift... I ordered a necklace and a bracelet, and the mystery gift was a ring that matched the necklace! I am so happy, so fucking happy.

[EDIT] o m g I think the mystery gift is not any accessory on the catalogue! Wow extra happy now please. (My necklace is sold out beyond replacement it's already taken off, hahaha)


AND my other items are being shipped from US soon! I can't believe it's only US$5 difference between the standard and express delivery... Clearly I chose express. I hope they reach me soon, (* w *) I can't wait for those babies!
