Anything you say can and will be held against you, so only say my name it will be held against you.
![]() Props designed by yours truly. So my internship has come to an end! Here's my little speech from my facebook wall... Really super thankful and blessed to have met absolutely fantastic, patient and friendly people through my course of internship. It was a really interesting journey albeit a short one, and I've learnt a lot. Though I probably contributed as much help as I've caused destruction, I wouldn't change it anything else at all. Thank you Adrian Lee for your guidance and lame jokes and sorry for all the times I caused your blood to boil (in anger, exasperation and what nots). Thank you Wenkai & Teresa also since you guys are part of the studio, it was really fun during the gown shoot! Thank you Jason Wong for the lamest jokes ever haha and being saigang warrior with me. Hope I'll get to see you guys again soon, please don't just bombard me with photos to edit okay hahaha it's been the best 7 weeks of 2013 for me ♥ ♥ So... Remember Andrea's gown fitting in the previous post? ![]() The gown shoot went really well though it was exhausting. We had a wonderful make up artist, two really talented models and the sai gang warriors (aka the people who needed to get the pictures). Well actually we only planned to shoot 12 dresses (6 each), but the models made the dresses look so damn fine, we threw away the initial plan and tried to squeeze in as many dresses as we could. Hahaha. ![]() It wasn't a real day wedding yet we got an almost actual day wedding set-up! The artist started dolling up our models before getting the dresses on, and wow, make-up really does wonders not in just making people pretty, but pulling everything together. ![]() One of our two models, Evalee. She's really amazing, *o* You may see her in some roles on Channel 8 shows or being in some commercials :D Because bridal make-up is generally heavier, she may look slightly different from this post... ![]() Of course, my fair lady, Andrea being all bad ass in her dresses hahaha. Shooting gowns aren't really that simple. Aside from knowing how to pose the models (making them look their best in shots), it's also necessary to understand the dresses and making it look good too. Teresa did tell us what we needed to show for each gown but it was such a challenge, hahaha. I think I only contributed 20% of all the shots taken that day :( Okay maybe lesser like 10% ![]() ![]() From this, I learnt how to do up corset back dresses in a pretty decent amount of time and also what to watch out for when shooting such elaborate outfits. I still suck at posing people but definitely not as clueless as two months ago! :) Of course this shoot wouldn't have been possible without this amazing bunch of people who stayed with us for at least 8-10 hours straight!! :) ![]() From left to right: Wenkai and Teresa (BeyondPictures cinematography and Epitome of Love), for taking behind the scenes video and finding Evalee, and providing the gowns! Evalee and Andrea, for being fantastic and wonderful models! Wendy, for being our makeup artist and staying all the way through though we ended really late! Me, for finding Andrea and taking over Adrian when he’s tired haha Adrian, for being the photographer and providing the lighting equipments! And here are two photos Adrian selectively chose to edit. So gorgeous ♥ w ♥ I'm not done with choosing Andrea's pictures but I'll go back and grab them just for Andrea, hahaha. And also for another gown shoot, but just between Adrian, me and my friend. Hehe. ![]() ![]()

I will sing to you everyday, if it will take away the pain.
![]() This is how I gauge the how bad the haze is getting, other than looking out of my window because all I see around the west area is just high rise buildings, more high rise buildings, and more... high rise buildings. It keeps getting worse. Anyway things at the studio have been rather manageable. At times it gets really busy, it's amazing how my boss gets through them, hahaha. Okay that's pretty similar to how I wonder how I get through shit during submission too, when things seem impossible to complete. I'm ending my internship earlier because I've to get my surgery done, and this haze makes me wonder if it's divine intervention as if I shouldn't been doing it yet. ![]() Things are also starting to get really fun as I'm about to leave! Such as outdoor shoots and roping in people to model (and seeing gorgeous gowns). :( This week we didn't have much to do since we blazed through the editing of 4 photo shoots in one day. My boss and his partners were discussing some ideas to put something grand in place the next few months so I absorbed their discussions and tagged along... His partners needed to showcase their gowns for rental and whatnots, so I knew Andrea would be perfect for the job. Hahaha before she came down we played with the lightings a little and well... when you have the outfits and you have the equipment... ![]() ![]() Andrea looks gorgeous in all the dresses she tried on. It's good to be tall sometimes, but I'm pretty much fine with my height because this way, I can wear more extreme heels. I don't have the pictures with me except for this, and I think I look absolutely fantastic in it. Andrea is, of course as usual, drop dead gorgeous. ![]() And here's more shameless self advertisement if you don't already know! ![]()

The show must go on.
![]() Top - Brother's | Pants - Clinked | Shoes - Modparade | Model: Sarah I swear I'm not good with this, as much as I like taking pictures of people. It's probably about time I got new lens, just need to decide between 35mm and 18-70mm or something... And then there are other stuff to worry about but all these can wait until I'm done with the school year! :( Anyway, after a really long time (2 months!) since Ohunched launched a collection. This time the shoot went really well, and fast. I don't know why, and the pictures look really good. Do go check them out! I have my eye on the rabbit top (it's a dropsleeve cutting too), but I absolutely hate them (rabbits). The tiger top looks so good too! I have strong feels to get it. Anyway here are my favourite shots from the collection! ![]() Andrea had her hair cut again (for her hairshow) just after her hair started to get longer... I think she looks great in both lengths - she's so versatile! And it's good, unlike me. I want to change my hairstyle but I've no idea what yet...

And tonight I thank the stars as I count my lucky scars for everything you've given me.
![]() I seem to like this photo app on my phone called Popbooth. I don't know why, I just like it. Maybe I shall start every post with a photo from this app from now on. Due to certain events in the previous week, Alane and I got to know our classmate from China, YiYi, better! She's super cute and gentle like a doll (even her complexion is so much like one), but she's really quiet because we think she's shy... And as you all know, food brings everyone together, so we took her to eat Rochor Beancurd nearby our school, and to eat Ayam Penyet! (After that, she's bringing us to eat some 麻辣火锅 (Spicy hotpot) at some restaurant nearby our school too!) Wow, I went to hell and back. Even YiYi said the chilli (from the ayam penyet) is spicier than what she's had back in China. But it was so good! Then we heard a lot of weird stories from YiYi - from education to plastic surgery... I actually do speak in Chinese to her shamelessly (and Alane laughs at me) so she doesn't feel so awkward :D Yay me, I can speak Chinese! My written Chinese is better, I think. Hmm, and she's been drawing for 12 years already. YiYi's been drawing from young and it's not your simple arts/crafts lessons. It's proper design drawing stuff... Something like us here, except all we know here in this country is to ~*~study~*~ be it academically or musically, because to be good at what you're doing, you've to start from young. And life doesn't have to really be that difficult at all... I had to download specific photo apps to Alane's camwhore needs so you can haz some of our faces. (YiYi's so cutesy!) ![]() ![]() And then, Ohunched's 5th collection! It's themed 'Simplicity' but one of the cardigans wasn't exactly simple. Hahaha. Oh and I really think Andrea's red lipstick looks really good on her. It's really red if you saw it in person though... ![]() ![]() Everyone should go support Ohunched so the owner will bring in more stocks (so we can have more awesome clothes)! Here's a very interesting behind the scenes photo. Hahaha and I'm not sitting 'cause I'm lazy! ![]() Labels: ▼, Andrea, NAFA, ohunched

You fell in love with the chase; let me give it to you straight.
Life has settled down into a state of monotony since school ended. I haven't done anything much productive and then suddenly, things picked up so fast. It's been a while since I picked up my camera for work... So I don't know what I feel about this all now, looking at the pictures from last week's events. But it seems good overall. :D Sunday saw Superdudez's B.A.S.H. event and they had cool smoke effect this time. It was fun except for this other photographer who cockblocked every other photographer and videographer (not intending to exaggerate but he was blocking the crowd too). He was so rude. I think he wins the most disrespectful photographer of the year. The rest of the pictures are up here, on Superdudez's page. ![]() Awesome smoke effect with funky lights = (Y) | Crazy crowds despite this being a small event ![]() For the first time in se7en1nch, there was a (small) wall of death as Fall of Mirra started a song. So crazy. The end of the week was almost hectic. I rushed down for Ohunched's photoshoot for their December collection. The clothes the owner brought in are all super lovely and I feel like wearing them all but it doesn't match my image... What to do... Also, I haven't posted up (my favourites for) November's collection so here it is! (Model: Andrea) ![]() ![]() ![]() November's collection: Knitwear ![]() ![]() ![]() December's collection: Prints We were all late for the photoshoot, resulting in impromptu outdoor shots. It turned out pretty good - the night made the outfits stand out more. Especially with the dark coloured clothes. ![]() I really like the pullover on the left. And I heard the owner only brought in 2 pieces because it's really expensive. Best part: It's unisex. Go head on down to their page for awesome clothes. I want to wear all the clothes but they really do not match me at all! I am so sad. The rest of my week has been so-so, just tending to the art gallery, hoping people will be interested in the oil paintings... I had a great Saturday with my bro (from another mother, bros4lyf), walked around town talking about lots of things, really stupid things, and chomping down a sushi buffet (filling, but could be better but I was just picky and afraid for my stomach). Also we saw the lunar eclipse in town before bumping into a fellow designer (omg, connections are complicated) and we stood around and talked for about an hour before going home. I was practically lugging santa's bag all around yesterday! Anyway here's my favourite shot from B.A.S.H. and the singer is Brandon from Fall of Mirra. I think my editing skills have improved significantly now - I merely touched up/enhanced the colour of this shot. :) ![]() Labels: ▼, Andrea, ohunched, Shows |
