2011

January.
Crashed immediately into a submission on the first day of school.
Patrick Stump - Spotlight (Oh, Nostalgia)
More submissions.
Totally no life.
gen12ii - wow, huge fucking mistake.
FOC OC meetings, with a lot of submissions.
Dinner with Jum & Khai in SP.
Crazy decision to quit SP.

I've learnt, it's never too late to make a decision, especially one that cause a really huge ripple in the waters. It's always the hardest choices that makes the difference.

February.
Officially quit SP.
Deutsch lesson came to an end as with the SP academic year.
Josh's birthday dinner with the '93 kids.
Dollfie photoshoots with Cheryl.
NAFA admission test.
More photoshoots, more.

I've learnt, it is possible to be best friends with a guy without falling for him. It is possible to get over someone whom I thought I'd never recover from.

March.
My pre-ordered A SKYLIT DRIVE items from their 3rd single reached me!
Dollfie photoshoots, with/for some designer.
Saw more BJDs at a meet.
FOC OC outing, to forge stronger ties in the committee.
Bought my first prime lens - 50mm f/1.8D.
Was the piano accompaniment for Cheryl's flute exam.
SPSD's Freshmen Orientation Camp '11.
Something.

I've learnt, sometimes the best way to love someone is to remain friends with them. Not because we're afraid of losing what we already have, but because it's better that way.

April.
SPSD graduation show at Suntec.
YOUYOUYOUYOUYOU
USS with OHf(:!
iPod nano went into vegetative state.
SPSD's Freshmen Orientation Programme '11.
Went for my first metal gig as photographer.
Used a UWA lens (10-24mm) and it was great.
Prince William & Kate got married.
Got a new closet and dresser.
Lol.

I've learnt, if anyone bothered enough, they would go through lengths to make you feel appreciated, even if just for a second, even if just a little gesture.

May.
Finally got a new phone - the white iPhone4.
A glimpse of the industry, and I'm barely anywhere.
Asked to help with covering images for Audi Fashion Festival '11 (AFF, Parco Next Next).
Also for the Asia Fashion Summit (AFS), rounding up the Asia Fashion Exchange '11 (AFX).
And for Blueprint @ MBS, then an afterparty at ION sky level 55/56 for Seoul's 10 Soul.
Helped Mr. ODH and friend with a product shoot for their current project.
I've learnt, it's okay to not care about everything, especially about things that are hopeless, and nobody has enough energy to care about everything in the world.

June.
First photoshoot with a band.
Bro got inked. Steady.
Went for another gig, as a photographer again.
Threadless.
Picked up skating, sprained my right ankle.
~*~fucked up~*~

I've learnt, nothing is ever really as it seems. Not even the slightest bit. To not judge a book by its cover is a gross understatement.

July.
Second photoshoot with another band.
Running Man!
NAFA's Orientation Day.
Stayover @ Cheryl's + arrival of her second BJD.
Found the big 3 in my life: C, F & 7.

I've learnt, not everyone you want to save are even bothered to save themselves. I've tried but failed and obviously have more than enough evidence to prove this godforsaken theory right.

August.
School started.
Abbas, 45 Years In Photography.
Spent time with my BBG and senior, Fah.
Worked a little more with another production (gigs).
Met many, many more people.
Got my nape pierced.

I've learnt, everybody will find that one person who will bring the 'you' out of yourself, and when you do find them, never let them go.

September.
~*~the most fucked up month ever in all aspects ~*~
Hari Raya.
Skaters.
Disagreements.
Finally fallen apart.
Another 'last straw'.
Worked with an online boutique, Ohunched, as photographer.

I've learnt, the ones that matter, don't mind, and the ones that don't matter, mind. The ones that matter never need to ask, and if they do know they only have to ask.

October.
Sleepwalking our way to contentment.

I've learnt, you can never forget anything, for it will always remember you, and it will come back, be it good or not.

November.
Last lap of the semester - ISP.
Japanese Cemetary Park with bro and Fah.
Met 7 again.
Picked up the camera after disappearing for 3 months.
Then I heard A SKYLIT DRIVE was coming to this country.
하로로!

I've learnt, patience and perseverance, in all aspects. Everyone deserves 'better', but no one puts in the effort, no one wants to wait.

December.
Work, which isn't much like work.
Finally went back to finishing the story I dropped off last August.
Spent time with the very few left in my life.
You.
I've learnt, the human spirit is almost unbreakable. But there's only so much pain one's soul can take... before it all comes to an end.

If 2010 had been horrid, 2011 must've been hell.
And in the midst of it all, I have obviously been writing. I never will stop.

"My friends think that I live in a dreamworld inside of my own head, and that I should get a grip. But I know that if I opened up the windows of my eyes to reality, and if I would dare to look outside, I would fall through the horizon onto my own death, because my head is in the clouds. It would be a fatal fall. So I just keep holding onto the stars. And though most think that it’s dangerous to hang suspended between the sky and the ground, some people cannot help it, because their souls were born to fly."

Overall, 2010 has been an okay year. Everything's balanced out in moderation. Guess I'm still not ready for anything yet. I should continue dreaming.

I should never have looked out of the windows.
